Please pray for my cousin, Nancy, who has an infection at the site of a surgery that was done two years ago.  They don't know why it happened, and do not yet know what it is.  She has been unresponsive to standard antibiotics, so now they're in the process of culturing the bacteria, which takes a few days, it sounds like.  They took a sample of the culture so far, and it was determined that it is NOT one of those incurable bacteria.

Loraine,

I just saw this post on the Prayer request forum. I'm sorry to see your cousin is having an unusual infection. That can be so frightening. I hope and pray that things are working out for her. I'm glad its not one of the incurable bacteria though. I'm late in responding so I'm hoping that by this time they have the infection under control. God Bless.

Bonnie,

Thanks for your prayers. Yes, she's doing much better. It was determined that the infection was caused by a little clamp that was used to tie off blood vessels when they took out her gall bladder two years ago. It was supposed to stay there -- not a mistake or anything. Then a second clamp worked itself out of the drainage hole. Now with those out of her and the antibiotics and the packing, she's almost all healed up. The surgeon wants her to have another CT scan in a couple weeks. He's not sure whether or not there's a hernia.  Hope not.

Hope Judy is feeling better.
