SACRED SEASONS
Easter, the celebration of resurrection
In these weeks of Easter we confront the central mystery of our faith, the death and resurrection of Jesus.
This is not an easy task, since what resurrection means is not always obvious. That is to be expected, because resurrection is a mystery. Like us, early Christian communities were trying to bring to language something that is beyond language, yet language is all we have.
Resurrection is about God, Jesus, and us. About what God has done and is doing in Jesus. About the conviction that Jesus yet lives. About our experience that convinces us of Jesus' continuing presence.
